In all fairness after you've got the kit, most of is logical. On the basis that most types of cable only pug into certain sockets. Although learning to dj isn't really something you can just learn out of a book, its something that with practice you learn.

I'd get you're gear together and have a play round at home, learn what types of music play well with each other then once you've enough confidence approach some places for small discos to get a little experience with crowds, ie youth clubs, charity work, etc.

There are several books you can get but also read the instruction manuals of the equipment you have purchaed too.

It's just like setting up your home hi-fi in all fairness but on a bigger scale and a few more wires... it's all on the same principal sort of.

There are a lot of translators on here!;) Familiarity with the gear will help, and with experience comes knowledge ( Grasshopper) :D

Don't get drawn into over-complicating things. If it sounds good, and loud enough, it doesn't matter what power your amp is, and how many Db you are running at. Remember the acronym KISS.

I did this and got no response, just think the guy's round here are shall we say stuck up there own sitting material.....so don't get to down in the mouth....IMO...and not to 'rain on your parade'....but 'have car will travel'.......

Done a little bit with my best mate......(listen to the forum cringe now...:D )....Dragonfly.......good learning curve......

Recommend it....:)
