As this is possibly the most talked-about effect of the moment, does anyone have a recommended or favourite inbuilt Show Number ?

3 for slower stuff, 5 for poppy stuff.

I tend to use 3 and 4 the most as they are probably the least manic.

13 I think, plus DMX.

They have 12 and the menu display is a red 'alarm clock' type thing on the back. ;)

Yes, but 0 just scrolls through all the other shows doesn't it?

In all honesty Daz.... I Dunno :confused: 'cos I've never actually used #0 in a live situation. In fact the only time I ever tried it was when it was first unpacked and I was experimenting in my garage. Needless to say that's far too confined an environment to appreciate this lights capabilities.:cool:

I find that 'on the floor' 3, 4 & 5 are my preferred options and certainly have had some very impressed punters :)

I would suspect that, as always ;) , you are totally correct though :beer1:

I've been using a CA-8 with mine, so change the programmes manually, 'cos I find some of them too fast, but I'm pretty sure that '0' does run through all the other programmes one by one.

Slightly off topic but aimed at those that already have one. I bought the super nova pack and was disappointed to say the least. Great in a small hall but no good for the larger halls. Just been looking at the demo's of the impossibled and im looking at getting either one or a pair. Question to those that own and use this. Do you use a pair or just one on its own. Is a pair over kill.?

I use a pair and they link together very well - they basically make the projected effect twice the size, rather than be all kind of random.

Me too, but I'd advise getting a CA-8 if you aren't going to DMX them with a controller.

i've got 2 of the CA-8's 1 that came with the dynamo's, the other came with the super nova's. mind you can't see the super nova's going out very often so could use there controller. Any recommendations for the best prices?

I've just got one ImpossibLed, I think they are a great effect.

I have mine DMX controlled and have set up some slow chases and static scenes, this is great for slow dances and warm-up, I find them very versatile when used like this.

You can also choose standalone mode whilst under DMX control so they react to sound-2-light as normal. I use mine on shows '0' '3' '4' & '5'.

Well phoned round some places today got the same answer most of the time....." not expecting any more till at least the end of february."
But there are a few places that have the chauvet version so may have to get a couple of those instead.

I have the Chauvet VUE 3 , this effect although it does not have any white leds is actually brighter than the Impossibled as it has more Led's and its good too!

it is indeed a nive effect but personally speaking i will for go 77 L.E.Ds for the extra colour in the impossibled. :D

I have a pair of Impossled's but sold a Chauvet Vue 3 before getting the Acme's. Both are excellent lights, but having owned both i would say the Chauvet was better !
Couldnt get another one at the time as i wanted a pair so sold it & got a pair of impossleds
