Non-delivered email

I had an email enquiry through my website, which I replied to as normal, although I've had a non-delivery message, as shown below (I've replaced part of the actual email address for security reasons).

It appears that this email address does not exist, in which case how was the person able to email me in the first place?

If anyone has any advice on what this message means or if there is anything else I can do to contact them by email, I'd be grateful for your comments or advice. Many thanks.

The 'from' has no effect on where an email is delivered. The email will get to you as long the "to" address is correct.

I believe the tiscali email addresses end in .co.uk and not .com so you could try changing it and sending an email asking if it was them who asked for a quote.

I don't mind if they can't spell their own name. As long as they can give me the right details & pay me, then I'll take the booking!

I've had one of these recently.. first he wrote the email address wrong so it bounced back straight away. Then he sent a second enquiry with the correct address (i think!) and since replying, i've had emails every 24 hours saying its in a queue and then eventually one saying it has failed. Its sods law that these people don't leave a phone number either, but luckily this guy rang me and left a message anyway... so might still get it!

I sent my reply changing the end bit of the email address to .co.uk, and I've just received a reply from the person, so you were right.
