I know of the "Acme Thunderer".....standard Referee's Whistle :D
have seen & PAT tested the Jaguars - they seem to be pretty much what you'd expect from Acme - a low budget barrel effect that does what it say on the tin. At under £500 for 4 heads I guess you can't go far wrong, however it may be worth having a look at Terralec's catalogue before deciding - they have a good range of budget lighting effects and many DJs I speak with speak highly of their range and customer service.

i find terralec is generally more expensive by 10 - 20 for most units.
Also the theatre i work at refuses to order through them anymore due to poor customer service from them.

They do the job but are very bulky compared to newer Acme Scanners (& heavy)

My experiences with them have been completely the opposite. By far one of the best companies for customer service I've ever encountered, I'd swear by them. Sure they can be a little more expensive on some items, but it's a small price to pay for the great support and after support I've had from them. 10 out of 10 in my eyes

I suppose it is like all companies.
Different people have different experiences with them

Same here.
Great value products & on the customer service side nothing is too much trouble.
I visit their showroom with a colleague about once a year to see all their latest effects in action.
10 out of 10 from me too.
