Hi, I'm just kicking off in this game despite being mid forties! I'm attached to a pub band (Guitarist) and we thought it would be advantageous to be able to run a disco in between our sets, so I bought some gear and gave it a go. First gig with me as a dj was new years eve and it went really well - to the extent I got several enquiries about doing just the Disco side at one or two places. This site has been a goldmine of information to me and I check in most days. So I'm a bit of a greenhorn but I think my biggest advantage is I really love music - all types. So building up my collection has been a joy. I'm listening to Pendulum at the mo and have fallen in love with Paper Planes by M.I. A. Don't suppose I'll get to play them at our fortysomthing gigs though!
