do i need any special extention leads to plug all my stuff in to or can i use standard ones
You can use any.
It depends on what equipment your using, how far, what conditions etc.
Also remember not to overload it.. after all you can have 6 sockets... but it is all coming out of a small 13 amp socket.
Anyway.
Try replying to your own topics when people help you out.
Instead of just leaving them. That way people might help you more
Paul - a few tips which I hope will be helpful:
If you use domestic extension reels, ensure you fully unwind them to prevent overheating.
Where your cables are visible, try to use black extensions rather than white, (much more professional presentation)
Don't hank your cables, coil them freehand and they will stay unbuckled and last ten times longer.
If using domestic connectors, remember standard BS1363 13a extensions and plugtops are designed for indoor use only, i.e. should not be allowed to get damp or wet. (This may sound like stating the obvious, but the amount of times one sees people at outdoor events using unsuitable electrics.....)

It would make sense to purchase surge protected extension leads if you can.
Remember if you decide to 'daisy-chain' extension leads into extension leads, you must add up the amps for all appliances that are attached to all parts of the chain. They are all drawing through the first plug in the chain.

I was just mucking about & being a bit @nal.
That said Blue 240volt cable is the industry standard, most touring companies use it together with 16/32 amp connectors unless they are using 3 phase, in which case it's usually grey cable/Red connectors. :)
it's from my own wardrobe, I must admit it is a Friday Night favourite :D :o :D

Whilst 2.5mm and 4.00mm blue arctic cable is widely used within the entertainment industry, it is not the touring industry standard.
The industry standard for touring is undisputedly HO7RNF, the outer sheath of which is black and HO7 is available in 2,3,4 and 5 core and all diameters.

indeed this is very true.
and the easiest way to get rid of the mud is to let it dry on the rubber, and a couple of days later wipe the length of the cable with a dry cloth.
works a treat.
oh, and don't forget to vacuum your trunk occasionally.

i dont think so. i got mine from homebase (4 way, 1.5m black extention leads)
as others have said just make sure you dont over load the rig. i use 2 wall plugs mainly but if u use my whole rig then i use 3. just playing it safe.
