I was warned about these guys - apparently though they're real easy to spot by what they're wearing. Apparently one does wear a police uniform, one a cowboy outfit, one a biker's leathers, one looks just like a construction worker, one wears combat gear and the last one wears a native American head-dress :p

But should you not only change plugs from standard to IEC if the unit has its own fuse or trip of some kind as the IEC has no protectection unlike standard plugs? i know most lighting effect have quick blow glass fuses allready installed internaly.

yes, but, no, but, yes, but whatever is at the other end of the IEC female should have a fuse of some kind, so not really an issue.
