Hya folks my name is Karl :)
I live in Cornwall
I am new to the DJ scene well about 6 months now, as it stands am doing the roadie work and mixing for my mate Max.
He has been around doing what he does for over 30 years now but has just started back up after a 7 year break due to ill health; I sort of talked him in to starting back up lol.

Its been a hell of a learning curve and one I am enjoying immensely, unfortunately though Max is a complete computer foab so not much chance of him coming on himself.
I am no stranger to the pc as I build websites and repair them so using the Numark director that we have is pure simplicity although when Max does try to have a play mixing he ends up stressed out as he is only used to vinyl and CDs (only he says) lol.

I will get around to posting the spec he uses, but for now below are just a couple of picks of the setup when we hired a small venue to do a test run.
It’s a shame I don’t have any picks with the lights on as they look the part (my dad took the pick but only has a cheep camera and the lit ones came out wrong). the light boxes being home made by Max about 10 or more years ago, luckily he managed to buy them back and now with a new coat of paint look great, as you will see from the picks he still needs a name box that usually goes above the center light boxes with spot boxes either side and UVs etc. within the light box with will be back hopefully.
It’s a very old school show in regards to lighting but always gets good comments from the public and the customers.
The good thing though about the setup is that it can be split or used in full depending on size of venue which has proved invaluable so far and at full size its roughly 20` wide and goes down to 6` with speakers either end on polls or stands.
Its great this DJ lark :D
