The captain of that 777 that crash landed (safely thank goodness) at Heathrow is a very smart chap.
When making his statement to the press the first thing he said was that the co-pilot was landing not him.
OK, Mr Coward gets the credit for the landing .............. but when the investigation is on the first thing they normally do is try to blame "pilot error" (It wasn't our plane, it was a mistake).
So, he has already passed the buck.

Im very interested to hear the fault as I fly twice a year longish haul for holidays. I always get off the plane on landing look at the massive engines and say--well done boys!
When they stop turning were finsihed:eek:
Man was not born to fly--
At a guess I dont thnk its pilot error--I think they filled up at Morrisons:D

At least he gave the co-pilot and the cabin crew all the credit and didn't appear big headed about it at all.
They did very well to get it down safely and all i can say is well done to the crew on board that plane and that all the training does pay off.

From the news reports so far, that doesn't seem to be the case.
