Just starting out

I have been a bedroom DJ for quite a few years now and a lover of good music ever since i can remember. I have decided to set up my own mobile disco.

I currently have a Denon DND-9000 dual cd player and vestax PCV-275 3 channel mixer. Could anyone give me some advice on what other equipment i will need. I have about a 1000 pounds to spend on equipment but am not too sure what equipment to buy and how much i should spend on different things.:confused:

Any other advice for a new starter in the business would be really appreciated.

I used to have one of those Vestax mixers, but I would recommend you swapped it for a 4U rackmount mixer to match your decks - you will appreciate it more when you have them neatly flightcased, and you're moving your gear about all the time, you start to really appreciate these little things!

As for equipment, I am afraid to say that £1000 won't go too far, but it should get you a decent small setup to start you off. I'd imagine a Class D PA system, a couple of Datamoons... something like that, but as Darren said, search through the threads and you will find out which equipment is recommended by DJs here! :)
