Had looked into them and decided the money would be better spent elsewhere.
Idon't believe a website that looks like that would get that much interest?
I might be wrong... but I have had more than enough interest from my other adverts

The website is rubbish, but they do tend to rank quite highly in my area.. although I think I did a free trial with them at one point and can't remember getting a great return. If I had of, I'd have paid for it.

Hi Soundmaster,
I find the negative comments about www.discoagency.co.uk unbelievable.
Here's why:
My £25 listing brings nearly as many hits to my website as ALL the other 34 sites I advertise on ADDED TOGETHER!
It also brings more than twice as many as hits as the second best site I advertise on...and the second best site costs me over £100 a year.
You can draw your own conclusions!

Yeh they're the ones.
And ok.. wasn't sure if you would mind or not.

Considering theres 12 other ads on that listing your doing well Rob!
There may be a valuable lesson to be learnt for those wishing to advertise--unlike most of the other ads you specifically mention--
You are long established, professional and cover Discos in Surrey at competititve rates.
A lot of the others are not focussed, covering areas that are not Surrey and some seem to be on an ego trip:D
No doubt this is why you get a lot of local work?
The site looks very basic ( back to another thread a few days ago) but obviously does the business of getting you hits leading on to enquiries etc.
Presumably you get a reasonable number of actual bookings from this source?

That's all fair comment, Crazy.
I have no idea how many actual bookings I get from this source, only how many hits my website gets from it.
It's clear that others have not had the same success with the site as me, but I think a lot of that might possibly be down to the area they cover.
If I was only allowed to advertise on one site, it would be discoagency.co.uk without question.

But dont you have a rough idea which listings produce DA MONEY?
Otherwise why would you pay to have your site blitzed with hits that dont make you money:confused:
AHHHH I see--- your making so much you dont care:D :D :D
I know YP produces a barrow load of time wasters and a small profit--so im back in with a very small ad in March.
My sites produce enquiries which end up earning DA MONEY--so I keep paying my £30 a year to keep them on the net.

Crazy,
I have no way of knowing which sites I advertise on bring in the most bookings, as there are 35 of them...so if I tried asking clients where they found me, they probably wouldn't remember...especially as many of the sites have very similar names.
What I DO know is how many hits to my website are produced by each of the sites I advertise on...and I presume that there is a link between the number of hits from my advertising & the number of bookings taken, although I have no idea what the percentage is.
Discoagency brings nearly as many hits as all my other adverts combined, so I assume it also produces nearly as many bookings as all my other adverts combined, although this is just an educated guess!
PS...I'm making so much I don't care? I wish!

On my email form I have a which site referred you to ours section, oddly a lot are coming from yell.com so far this year ?? hardly any last year from them ..... that said enquiry to booking ratio is poor so far must have had 35 or so enquirys and about 10-12 confirmed bookings .

That's probably fairly similar to me. I'd say roughly one in 3 enquiries turns into a booking.
