Can anyone please tell me if there is a Denon twin mini disc player still on the market?
Mendoza.
Denon discontinued the DN-M2300R several years ago now, great shame as it was a lovely unit
The Tascam MD-350 seems to have become the industry standard MD player nowadays

Is that for mobile use?
I have been using a pair of Sony MDS JE480s week in week out for years now--absolutely fantastic for use by mobile entertainers--£100 to buy now:D
Friend of mine bought a Denon Mini D player not long ago for home use--think it must be a discontinued line. He says its very good. Time will tell:D

Crazy K, the Tascam is 19" rackmountable, so yes, is suitable for mobile use :p :D
Mendoza.
An MD-350 (or two) is a favourite in many companies playback racks.
The beauty of the DN-M2300 was the DJ-friendly layout, with the 3U remote control virtually identical to the DN2500 CD remote, which IIRC was the flagship at the time.
However at around £250 ex vat, the Tascam is a winner.

So is the Sony--suitable for mobile use--I use it all night on gigs :D
Believe me the Sony is easy to use, personal choice--- I never use remote--always start button.
Hey this looks good--

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it won't do a job, however that Sony MD player in the link looks to me like a domestic hi-fi separate as opposed to a piece of pro audio equipment.

Thats correct.
My work takes me to so many oddball locations ( like working with Steve from time to time) :D :D :D that I need maximum flexibility with separates.
Poked in corners, working with other DJs etc.
As it happens if the use is just for odd specific events ( which I assume is what its to be used for) you could quite easily put it somewhere suitable where it would be hidden from view.
If using for double playout all the time--agreed consider rackmounts.

Nice sexy looking player Crazy K, however, the only setback to that Sony is that it isnt rackmountable.

Will have to keep a very close eye out on eBay. How long have you had the unit and has it ever been in for a repair?
