Hello to all at MDForums.
I've already been lurking and have found some good tips and advice.
For the record, I've recently joined my father in a professional capacity (I've been DJing since I was out of nappies though) as Harlequin Roadshow (his name not mine...:zip: )
I've upgraded his soundsystem, and we are now Laptop based, using a 160gb hd, 2gb ram model, Numark DJI/O external card and a Total Control controller, with Virtual DJ as my software of choice. Light show consists of some boxes me old man made, the usual beacons, ropelights, an Acme projector, Datamoon, and a row of 4 l.e.d par cans, which I'm loving at the mo.
