Anyone tell I have nothing to do??
I have just done a phsyics coursework presentation thing and my lecturer said that he couldnt fault it at all.. woo... i think it just confirms the old boffin status though.. :bang: :p

Anyway..
Also just been asked to work (get in / followspot / get out) for a big band thats coming to the theatre on sunday..
I love big band music :rose: ... and generally shows liek that don't have much to do in them.

So I am happy basically..

ALSO.. main point of posting this.... who else likes big band style stuff??

I am informed that he is well know :confused:

Unless I am very much mistaken he is indeed a well known and highly respected proponent of a form of music which I encounter from time to time-

Trad Jazz. Just be thankful that it's not any other form of Jazz.:sofa:

Agreed. It's a pity his vocal work on 'I Wanna Be Just Like You' (possibly better known by the unofficial title of 'I'm the King of the Swingers') from Disney's 'The Jungle Book' doesn't seem to have made it to any of his best of compilations, only Disney's.

The reason its called Big Band according to this article below is because he enlarged the size of his essentially JAZZ/ BLUES band --as Excalibur says.

He had a Jazz/Blues band--it got bigger so now its a BIG BAND---:D :D :D

For real BIG BAND your talking larger numbers of Musicians-- I think Chris has about 11 all in which in fairness is sizeable for that type of band.

If you did read though.. I osted later on when I found out who / what it actually is.

All I got told by my boss when he asked me to work it earlier today was it is a big band...
hence my original post
