Our best booking yet

hello everyone

we've just got our best job to date, we've been booked to play a bit of background & host the karaoke at jamie carraghers (liverpool fc player) 30th birthday party this sunday

he's hired a saturday night fever style dance floor and everything so it should be good

what i'd like to ask is do you think we'd be ok to take photo's for promotional purposes for our website?

a few people have said we might not be able to

what do you guys think?

should we ask the events co-ordinator at the hotel, or should we just say nothing and ask jamie himself on sunday (after he's had a few beers?):)

Dont know much about football, but shame its not rednap as louise would be there ;) .

on pictures etc . would be good to get a photo of yourselves with Carra and ask if you may put it on your website , provided he's not totally lashed i'm sure it will be ok.

Privacy is very important to anyone in the spotlight, so I'd be very careful about it if I was you.

Talk to the Hotel and get them to ask Jamie.

I would always ask the person who booked you. Even if you do ask Jamie but not the events company and they find out you may never get work from them again. I have never taken pics of any celeb that has been at my gigs but then I dont have a website lol.

seriously though guys any more advice about taking photo's at the gig?

do you think if he says no to taking pictures we should ask for a couple of promo shots with him & us behind the decks?

Just check with the events management to ask him if it is ok.... But really would have a celebrity on your website build up your work to be honest, Brides to be look for individuality that set a Dj out from the rest.

i agree steve, but surely it wouldn't harm the business, i believe some people may book us just because we've played jamie carraghers birthday,

a case of, 'well if they're good enough for jamie carragher then they're good enough for us' sort of thing.

i think it would be good for the business if we get a few photos

I think you really need to talk to the Event Manager at least 24 hours in advance

There may already be a 'Heat'/'Hello' type contract in place and photos or cameras may therefore be forbidden altogether.

p.s if Peter Crouch or Fernando Torres turn up....be sure to have speakers & light rig at maximum height. They're pretty good at hitting the 'goalposts' :D

as a massive liverpool fan i can only say you lucky lucky lucky did i mention lucky man.

I met jamie in a shell station in 2005 not that long after we won the european cup he is well down to earth and i had the shirt on with 23 on the back,,,,thinking about it i should have asked him to sign it for me.

i just said to him all toung tied all right cara he smiled and said hello mate that was it....

this will be one of your best night to remember the scouse sence of houmour will be evident all night long
