i-tunes question

Hope this applies to technical help.
Anyway, i was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to make a normal MP3 player (non Apple brand) to appear in the left pane in i tunes.
If there is i would love to know as i have an excellent playlist in I-tunes and i would just like to transferre it somehow. :)

The simple answer is no.

You can convert the apple audio files to MP3 with Roxio Media Suite.... then you can use them with your MP3 player.... but you can't get iTunes to show your MP3 player.

Shame... and it's a shame that nobody does a DJ mixing package that integrates with iTunes, too.

I worked this out by myself! :)

Hold shift down and highlight all of the songs you want in the I-Tunes library, wether it be in a playlist or in the main music folder, then after all the songs you want are highlighted, right click on the last one and copy.
Then make a temporary folder in your documents, right click in there and paste.
All the songs you have chosen will go into the temporary folder enabling you to then copy the folder (or highlight the individual songs as i did) and copy them to your mp3 player.

I think miskinsounds files are already mp3's. Just that the mp3 player doesn't show up as a portable device. I use Itunes all the time for transferring songs to the mp3 player I use in my car. It shows as a removable drive in my computer. I just open 'my computer', Highlight the songs I want in Itunes and drag them across. Of course, if any of the files you highlight are mp4, they will also copy but they wont be converted so won't play.

Yes and yes :)

I set up I - Tunes so that in converts my cd's into mp3 file formatt so then i dont have any trouble if i want to put a song onto my mobile for e.g. and of course there is my mp3 player to consider :D

But don't forget that Itunes won't convert mp4 files (tracks purchased from the music store) to mp3. The only way I know to do this is to burn the tracks onto a cd and then rip them back onto your hard drive again.

Or a Virtual CD... saving on blanks. Unless you want a hard copy of course.

Of course :) but i was of course reffering to compilation cd's, albums etc.
