amps- any good deals at the moment

I need a new amp for a multi room event i am doing later this year- it will be used as a main amp for one night and then a back up/second room amp in the future powering mackie 350s.

anyone know of nay decent deals at the moment without spending an arm and a leg? we use a crown 602 at the moment and i am tempted to get a 402, but i like the look of the 1U Rhino

Anyone any experience of these- a 1U amp has quite a few advantages...

arrh yes the rhino a native animal of africa it has a big horn on its face likes to wallow in mud to keep cool

Looks a nice compact little amp, Never heard of rhino before but could be worth a try.

I would be a bit concerned that it says 350watts per channel in one part of the add & 150watts per channel in another part of it? if you need a spare amp why not have a look at the behringer stuff at least it's a name thats known and trusted!

i did think about that, but a 1u amp still appeals to me.

to be honest the behringer name is the one i avoid like the plague as it is the only brand that has really let me down- a graphic i had a few years ago that kept fusing for no reason.
replaced with another brand and never had an issue since.

if its just for a 1 off then for backup use i would look at the w-audio series of amps.

i have had a few installed in pubs and clubs in the newcastle area and they seem to perform realy well and are as cheep as chips as well

strange! they seem to be ok with most of the people that use the on here and I've used a few on installations without ant trouble (in fact 2 of them went into a reggae club not a good enviroment for any amplifier)

just because you had one of their products let you down don't be put off on the rest, their pretty good value for money and I would be a bit wary of a product thats not known just for the sake of any repairs it may need

To be honest behringer is good gear,
Great value for money and is very popular between singers and dj's.... as colin said because one of their products let you down, dont let it put you off as they are just as strong and reliable amps as a QSC amp.
