Hi all.
Here is a question about the Mobile Disco Directory listing site.
When you have a paid listing on there, you can see the " open " enquires and reply to them.
Am i being cynical to think, that maybe these enquires ar just to get the people with free listings to subscribe to a paid listing, because i do not seem to be getting any replies. Not even to say no thanks.
Surrely they would not do such a thing would they?.;)

No they wouldn't, personaly I always reply to "3rd party enquirys" even if i'm already booked just to say thanks for the enquiry however ........ take up surprisingly good. I've found the key is to get in there straight away.

On the subject of getting no reply - the clients enquiry probably goes to about 20ish Dj companys, if ever company replys with a quote would you sit there sending 20 emails to say thanks but no thanks?

I take it you've read the bit in your admin panel about some advertisers being a little liberal with the truth?

I thought that was quite funny, I can't believe, actually I can, that people would do that, do they have no ethics?

I picked up a confirmed booking from a 3rd party enquiry the other month and several times I've seen enquiries appear there that I've already had direct through my site, so I doubt there's anything fishy going on...]

Has anyone else noticed this...

It has been brought to my attention that one or two paying advertisers are following-up these enquiries and misleading the clients into thinking that the company they originally contacted is unable to take the booking and that it has been passed on to them instead.

Other misleading (and quite frankly, slanderous) comments which I understand have been made, include telling the client the company they originally made contact with is 'not very good', 'unreliable' or 'doesn't turn up'.

Whilst I want you (as a paying advertiser) to gain as much work through UK-Disco as possible, such practices will not be tolerated from any advertiser, regardless of their membership level.

Please be aware that if such activity is traced back to any individual, their advertising will be cancelled and their account permanently removed from UK-Disco.

What scumbags!
