Pete Doherty played a children's birthday party for £100 recently, according to reports. The Babyshambles star was offered the money by the father of a female fan, and agreed to play an acoustic set of his biggest hits. A 'source' said Doherty was "flattered" by the invite to appear at the undisclosed venue and has since been inundated with similar requests. "The birthday girl's dad told him she was a huge fan and that he'd give him £100 to perform at her party. "Pete was flattered and happy to oblige. He turned up and played his big hits. Everyone had a great time", the 'source explained. The former Libertine was apparently amused by requests to make "dogs out of balloons" during the party.

Wonder what he blew his earnings on ;)

nice to see he's earning some real money at last! he's been playing at the pub I used to run (the dirty south in lewisham) and I bet he didn't get that much from the 2 tight b's that run it now! (when he turned up that is!!!!)
