Numark Total Control DJ Software Controller

Anybody got or used the Numark Total Control DJ Software Controller?
How good are they? :beerchug:

I think Paul Arnett uses one of those. I'm sure he'll be along to tell you about it.

I've never used one, but they do look very Fisher Price to me.

I have used one of these down at my mates shop and i have to say they are fine for home of bedroom use or maybe walk in walk out jobs, I still personally prefer a decent soundcard, nice mixer and then the numark DMC2 controller, Has alot better feel to it and not so small and fiddly as i found with the total control is that when you are moving buttons or mixing you can knock the buttons and it ruins your mix or sometimes can lead to crashing the contoller.

Anyway just my opinion but like i say good for home or walk in walk out jobs.

The laptop side I really want to have a go with, I have a brand new one although will be reverting back to XP as Vista although looks and feels good is a pile of crap for reliability with many programs having problems with it.
I was considering the Numark Total Control purely as its a complete controller.
I have to say that I do prefer having a separate mixer and controller each item dedicated to the job.

We do have the Numark D2 Director which I love but when it comes down to view-ability a full laptop screen wins hands down.
I have been considering other products like the pcdj dac2 and the Denon DN-HC4500 or the NUMARK DMC-1 Controller linked up to a separate mixer.

I dont want to spend a fortune at this stage but rather something mid priced that is reliable and works well with virtual DJ, OR in fact is there a better program along similar lines as virtual DJ?

I disagree - they don't look a lot different from anything else to me.

I use a DAC-2 with Virtual DJ and it works well once you've installed a mapper for it. They can be had fairly cheap second hand too.
