2U Mixer

I'm looking for a 2U mixer like this http://www.djempire.co.uk/prodinfo.php?ProdID=5576 but must have separate eq for the mic.

Any ideas?

I'm really after one with separate eq for each channel too. I don't know why Denon didn't put eq on the mic channel on theirs.

I had one like this (bought 2nd hand) but got rid of it. It has eq on the microphone channels but no gain control and no matter what i did I could not get the feedback under control.

Shame as it would of been perfect for the 2u size and its very shallow as well.

I haven't bought the case yet, so it could be 3U, but I'm trying to keep it as small and lightweight as possible.

A lot of people don't rate them and to be honest they are budget mixers generally. Having said that, I have a powered Behringer mixer that I use for different applications and I think it is OK. Build and sound quality is pretty good. And pound for pound they are very good value. It is a PA mixer rather than a DJ mixer though.

I was talking to a supplier the other day and he told me not to touch the DJ mixers with a barge pole.

I would stay with the Citronic then. Don't Citronic do a smaller version of the 10:4? AN 8:4?

That is 4U but only has 4 channels rather than 6.

Absolutely correct. I use the 8:4 as a back up mixer. Great sound and great build quality....I have no complaints.

I was looking for a 2U microphone mixer to accompany my regular mixer when I was doing karaoke too, and it is a very hard product to find! The only ones I could find were either well out of my budget, or cheap and nasty looking, so I gave up and bought a seperate Studiomaster Fusion.

That's probably about as unhelpful an answer as you could have hoped for, Darren! ;)

so as a test i put 8.4 on one chanell & the 10.4 on teh other the difference was very remarkable

Interesting! Were both the mixers about the same age? I know that the build quality differs on Citronic gear depending on when it has been built.

no the 10.4 is aboy 4 years old but had just been serived teh 8.4 was about 1 year old

I've heard the same thing.

Several people have told me that Citronic stuff is nowhere near as good as it used to be a while back.

i tend to agree altho I have a mark 1 10.4 that i dont like :( weird
