just logged onto my ukdisco account to see what was happening and found this very srtange message.....

It has been brought to my attention that one or two paying advertisers are following-up these enquiries and misleading the clients into thinking that the company they originally contacted is unable to take the booking and that it has been passed on to them instead.

Other misleading (and quite frankly, slanderous) comments which I understand have been made, include telling the client the company they originally made contact with is 'not very good', 'unreliable' or 'doesn't turn up'.

Whilst I want you (as a paying advertiser) to gain as much work through UK-Disco as possible, such practices will not be tolerated from any advertiser, regardless of their membership level.

Please be aware that if such activity is traced back to any individual, their advertising will be cancelled and their account permanently removed from UK-Disco.:eek: :eek:

So have I:angry: , and I think the guilty person should be black-listed from all relative sites if he is ever found.

Initially it made me think it was related to me also because when replying using a set-letter, I personally make a general reference to "some other operators who may let them down" before reassuring the prospective client that I am totally reliable and have never let anyone down in over 25 years.

The wording of the warning as I read it, means that the only reason UK-D is concerned must be that this person must be actually naming the opposition when saying that they are unreliable.

to be honest i'm not entirely sure how these people have found out who the original enquiry was made to as all i ever see is enquiries that have been made public and no supplier is named as to who the enquiry was sent to?
