I need to convert from VOB to AVI--no that didnt mean much to me either:confused:

Tried a free software package off the net but although it did the job of allegedly making an avi file the quality loss was quite considerable and when I tried to load it into Windows Movie Maker --no hope!

I did speak to Martin at VV----the download program didnt work too well:eek:

Anyone know of a decent download --preferably free if possible.

Assuming you have the raw VOB files on your hard drive...

Auto Gordian Knot (http://www.autogk.me.uk/) is the best tool for this, I think.
