I'm after 4 x right angled female XLR - straight male XLR preferably Neutrik and Van Damme cable.

And no, I don't want to make my own!

Sound or light?

I'd hardly be using Neutrik and Van Damme for lighting, would I? :p

I've ordered now anyway, from a very efficient place who seem very interested in good customer service and quality.

I'll post their details if the cables arrive on time and are decent! :)

You might, I don't know.

I'm assuming Sabre don't do them then?

I didn't think of going trade for these...

Never mind, it would only be a minimal saving on cables anyway.

I'm fairly sure Adam Hall do them, which is why I asked what you wanted them for. But as you're sorted now I won't bother looking.

Have you a trade account with Adam Hall?

Why? This is exactly what I use for my entire DMX cabling stock, Neutrik XLRs and VD cable. :)

I know this thread is old but (for once!) I used the Search facility (see kids...it CAN be done!).

I am after around 20 angled XLR cables. 3m or 5m is fine and they will be used for uplighting. One of the bookings for next year is in a massive marquee which they want uplighting for and I want to be prepared.

Darren, did you recommend the people you got yours from in the end?
I've had a look on Ebay and there are american companies doing these but I would prefer to order from the UK just incase there is a problem with any and they need returning.

Cheers
G

I can't remember where I got them from Gary, sorry. :o

I know I did have a problem when they arrived as they were wired the wrong way round, so I couldn't get them in my mixer (they went up instead of down, if you see what I mean)

C'mon, Max...

As far as buying some quality prefab screened digital cable @ 110Ω, I'd get in touch with 10 out of 10. I'd be surprised if they couldn't make these up for you. It doesn't say whether they hold the right angled connectors in stock, but I'm sure they'll have no trouble buying them in. Tell them you only require 3 core and what you intend to use them for.

In this setup with multiple fixtures over a relatively large area, I wouldn't be happy using standard mic cable. You do not mention whether you intend to send DMX data their way, but I'd would err on the side of caution. Pick yourself up a terminator as well if you don't already have one.

Thanks for the information guys.
The leads will be for UPLIGHTING and they will all be connected togeather so that I can control them via the Lil' Mix Controller. I have a number of weddings next year and 4 of them are at the same venue and all 4 will have Uplighting. I currently use a mixture of DMX and Mic leads and they work fine but I want new leads.
