I know that there are quite a few people from Ian Forests forum now joining here and I'd like to welcome you all.
I spoke to Ian at length this morning and understand his reasons for not wanting to carry on with it as it can be very time consuming and sometimes soul destroying and I know that he wants the time to be his and his families, which is very important.
I know that the forum will be back at some point, perhaps under new owners, but it will be back. The DJ community is too important to let go in my opinion and many others.
Meanwhile I have spoken to Jeff Wood about a temporary measure, which myself and Richie are going to work on as soon as possible to give you guys from the other forum somewhere to go and chat.
Watch this space! ;)

Very accommodating of you Darren (and other MDD owners).
I know that all regular "Orange" forum users will find this just as helpful and friendly a place to chat and share information. :)

Thanks for the info Darren, and it will be good to have it back up(or something). As with this forum, you make a lot of friends and business liaisons....feels quite odd losing those contacts.

Well not having been around much for the past few days i've only just found out about the orange forum and am sorry to hear about it's close although can understand that it takes up allot of time, energy and money and know Ian wouldn't have closed it without thinking long and hard about it.
Hopefully the forum will be back in some way in the near future as i feel lost with only one forum to look through and would love to have 2 again... :D
But being sensible for a moment (and hope you don't mind me putting this on here... please remove if you do).. i think if it doesn't come back it will be a very very sad day and a great loss both personally and in the industry. I know i have made many friends over the past few years through all of the forums i belong to although the orange place will always be a special place as it was the very first i belonged too and i honestly believe without it i wouldn't have been where i am today!
Ian if you are reading this and on this forum too i just want to thank you (and family!) for keeping things running up until now and creating a friendly, fun place that gave me and many others hours and hours of fun, advice and work!!! Keep in contact!

I have been a member of this site for a few years now. Being also a member the Ian's site I am sorry to see it go. I am sure we would all like to wish Ian and his family all the best and hopefully meet up on anothe forum in the future.
I know it is time consuming and sometimes soul distroying at times for the site organisors but keep plodding on.
I spend many an hour on forums when I know I have mountains of paperwork to do. But keep up the good work

Isn't it annoying when someone posts an in-joke, and you're not in on it? :(
