View Full Version : There are no strangers, only friends we haven't met yet

Isn't the power of the internet amazing? :D Subsequent to a recent post on here by Mayhem1, Tony Scott posted his admiration for his work, and his trepidation about undertaking that kind of work. Mayhem was good enough to contact Tony, give him thanks for his kind words, and pass on a few pointers and words of encouragement. Nice man.
Now the funny bit! He then contacted me, and thanked me for my kind words, which is interesting, considering I suggested he should be certified. I did actually post something vaguely complimentary after so fair enough I suppose.:) The offer of seeing him work was proffered if ever we were in the same geographical area, and we started to wonder if that might ever happen, when he said he would soon be in my area on a
non-entertainment related jaunt. Imagine my surprise when it transpired that we share a common common interest, and he may be coming to a venue which I know a little of, and used to visit many years ago. :D :D So a social visit is on the cards, a chance to put a face to the name, and learn at the feet of the Master.
Thanks Mayhem for taking the trouble to make contact, what a nice chap, and I hope we may meet up later i the year. That just fits in with almost every experience on here, that we may be strangers now, but given the wonderful power of this medium, we could soon be friends.:D
PS Even Rob. :boy_hug: :D :D

Given your previously mentioned enjoyment of one Mr Pratchett I have two words for you regarding the above... Morris Dancing!

So Excalibur should be ignored when posting ex-Kaliber?

Can't explain the dancing bit though... unless you do it when you drop a windlass on your foot lol! (or it spins off and hits you in the face)
