I have been having some issues with using PCDJ vrm on my new laptop which is running vista. Now having followed all the advice given on the forums of PCDJ and ensuring my laptop was set up correctly i was still having it crash during a disco.

I rang PCDJ today and spoke to a extreamly helpfull chap i explained my issues which he understood fully and advised me to look at PCDJ VJ which although is for the video dj also does a great job with audio he also spent some time explaining the new lay out then showed me a demo on you tube.

on his advice i downloaded the demo version of which i was going to use this weekend on my 2 bookings so i downloaded it and tried it ...5 hrs ago and i have to say what i have seen and played with here is the best piece of software i have encountered. Its simple to use looks great and feels great the search facility is outstanding this software has it all Audio, Karaoke and video all in one hit.

But the most important thing here is has NOT crashed once i have played about with it continusley and can not in any way fault this. Now i would stronly urge all PC based dj to look at this and download the demo this i beleive has truley solve my problem and i now do not have to worry about putting my laptop back to xp.

The guys at PCDJ have truley excelled them selves here. And just before anyone ask;s no i am not on the pay roll or indeed getting anything for raving on so much about this soft ware.

I am just very happy with this product and wanted to share my joy.

Well actually they haven't as it is virtually the same as Virtual DJ and built by Atomix.

I had a look at this product a few weeks ago for running Karaoke. I didn't like the layout that much and have just brought CompuHost. The program in question was quite impressive but i just didn't have the controls i was looking for.

PCDJ vrm isn't natively Vista compatible anyway, so it's hit and miss wether or not it works.
It is pretty rock solid on a properly configured XP SP2 install.
PCDJ have been very slow developing the new products due to some kind of takeover.

I've just had a look at the free trial and the layout is quite nice. I found the navigtion of the record case quite nice. Have to say the automix function is a bit of a let down though

i was not talking about PCDJ vrm i was talking about PCDJ VJ which far better.


Also the auto mix function is very simple to controll and the wait list is awesome

just tried the demo of pcdj vj and i can say i am not really impressed i think vertual dj has alot more to offer but thats a personal thing every one is diffrent
