Anyone been involved with this as yet? (sounds from the article like it's clubs mainly but who knows...)
Is it a fad or something worth trying to exploit?

Nope. I have a regular at a kids play centre where I play for private parties 8-14 year olds and sometimes am setting up early during the 'public' session so have babies and toddlers bouncing around to the soundcheck :D

I remember promoting "Superman" with the singer and a group of teenage dancers (before Black Lace stole it) at loads of kids discos in the early 80's; so it is not a new idea. There are plenty of social clubs up and down the country that have run family discos for years.
