Blimey, I feel like an old man and this time next week I'll be 40 years old....:(
Wednesday was a short set in my local 8 - 11 just playing requests as the pub has been refurbished.
Thursday was the monthly gay & lesbian night. 9 - 2. It's always a good laugh and they are up for it (pardon the pun) from the first song until the last. No problems whatsoever and really enjoyable to do. They all know how to enjoy themselves....pity that sometimes they have to do it right in front of me (joke).
Friday was my retro night 'Back to the future' 9 - 2 at the same venue. It's a bit of a bummer though as the venue does food during the day so I couldn't leave my stuff set up and had to set it all up again. As it was pay day it was packed and a really good atmosphere right up until about 5 minutes from the end when there was a girly fight!
Tonight was a wedding. 7.30 - 11.30. Funny one this....I was booked for it 4 weeks ago, 2 days after the guy proposed because he found out his girlfriend was pregnant! They did themselves proud though, good venue, big stage and the lights looked great in there. Because the stage was high up I decided not to take the bass bins and I only used 5 lights too - 2 x Dynarocks, Wildtech Hallucination, LED Boogie and also MarvelLED. It looked really good in there. Most of the people were around 20 and wanted dance and rnb and chart but I chucked in some motown as someone requested it and it went down a storm.
Best songs of the night - Supremes - Can't hurry love and Marc Ronson ft Amy Whinehouse - Valerie (mixed them togeather and it worked).
..Now I have severe backache and am chilling with a beer. Hope you all had a good one!
