How many gigs do you get ??

I know many dj's are full time, many part-time, many hobbyists etc.

What I am wondering is on average how many gigs would you say you do per week, month, year etc.

I am averaging 2/3 per week which am pleased with but would obviously like more - are there any 7 nights a week out there ??

I am part time at the moment but using my full time job to fund all the new gear that i am upgrading then hopefully i will have enough work to go at it full time.

I usually work about 6 nights a week, but that's a combination of pub quiz nights AND mobile discos.

Any more and it intrudes too much into my family life.

At the moment it's 1 or 2 a month......:o ....but if i wanted to feed my family on 'tates and swede'...i'll be rich....:D

Whole of 2007 average was 2.1 per week. I only work Fri/Sat/Sun at present so that's not a bad hit rate when you take off holidays etc.

So far this year I'm slightly up.

I have just payed a well known website for a year subscripsion so we will see what happens from that.

But then i guess i need to be out there, showing what i can do and give out buisness cards to try and drum up more buisness.

I'll have done 95 by the end of march (so the Apr 07 - Mar 08 financial year). Which works out at about 1.8 a week.
