I think it is time to make my setup a little more compact. I think the giant flightcase doesn't help. Have finished the weekend with a ruptured hamstring from carrying it upstairs and a broken thumb from trying to get it in the car. Fortunately I decided a while ago to take the next couple of weeks off so haven't accepted any bookings. Possibly a trolley might be a good idea!

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that. I took the decision to downsize my show a long time ago and I have never regretted it. If I do need more kit for a particularly large gig I simply hire it in.

Sorry to hear about your injuries, and I hope you're fully recovered soon.

When I go digital, this will be downsizing in a way, as I'll no longer have two boxes of CDs to carry into each venue where I work.

This will reduce the number of trips carrying gear from my van to the function room from 10 to 9, but in the words of a certain supermarket, every little helps!

Sorry to hear of your industrial injury. You can always sue yourself. I know the feeling. I have fallen up and Down stairs carring things before now.

Sorry to hear about your injuries.
Hope you're soon back behind the rig Tris.

I find the biggest problem is skinned knuckles with big flightcases and narrow doorways.

Sorry to hear about this. :(. I know the feeling as i have a massive 16U flight case. So heavy when fully loaded.

Guess its time to spend some money. ;) :)

trust me load this up fully it's bloody heavy

I only have about 350 CDs, so two cases are enough.

Most of them are even in their original jewel cases (so I can see what they are without having to flick through them), although I ran out of space in my cases a year or two back, so I now have about 20-30 CDs in cardboard covers.
