Just bought my new setup

Equinox Nebula laser - like the Kam cluster
2 Impossibleds
1 Kam LED lightscreen
2ft ulitamax deckstand
4ft ulitamax deckstand

I just need to get some more lighting for weddings etc...maybe moving heads....I'll be using my xp5s until I sell them

Now I just need a Denon X050 mixer when they come out! and maybe a new sound system depending on how the speaker meet goes!

I'm pleased coz the stands give me the ability to change to 2ft when I have tight spaced setup...

When I've got all the gear, I'll set it up and take a few pics....

Not sure what to replace the XP5s with...maybe moving heads, but maybe something else ....another type of moonflower perhaps like a kailedescope effect? any ideas?

Not to sure about the laser but that's personal choice and the LED light screen I'm not to sure about but I'd have to see it in action before i make my comment.

I would say you need something with a bit more movement to replace the XP5s as everything is fairly static.

LED Par's may go well with your large setup.

You obviously haven't seen them otherwise you wouldn't be making that comparison to other lasers, as they are a completely different effect to a 'normal' laser.

I have 6 LED pars already...forgot to mention that

I ordered the laser for the effect that it gives on the walls etc...I didn't want a normal laser, as most of my venues are no smoke policy....I think the effect is great, kids will love it and chase the dots around the dancefloor!

Yeah, everything is fairly static, so I just need to decide what to get to replace xp5s...

Kam LED screen - I know I know..light screesn....thing is, my MAD LED panels get such good comments from the general public, and I know the Kam screen will as well...plus I needed a frontage for the 2ft stand

It's not really going to be in use when all the lights are on...more of a background start of the evening wow factor....then maybe slow dances etc

Was it a sort of cabaret show thing where you get a heavey long bass note at the beggining with the laser shining and out you come with a spot light beaming up at you? :D :D :D

You really need to see it 'in the flesh' so to speak Spud. I have been demo-ing them to a few people and those who have had the demo have bought. ;)

coz they are cheap! gonna use them at weddings for first dances etc...rotating gobos set to certain colours etc..pointing down onto dancefloor, the LED pars are for uplighting use

Definatley worth it.

I am a realistic kind of bloke and don't bang on about people saying how nice my gear is and how fab my lights are, but I have had quite a few comments about how good it looks.

A lot of money? Yes.

Worth that much money? Probably not.

But it gives me the look I want and it is a quality piece of kit, very well engineered and the cloth fits very very well.

I used starcloths before and this is a thousand times better. :)

I use one a lot for our smaller venues (even got wheels on mine), very stable although watch which version you get (one is not height adjustable for the crossbar).

One of our venues is on a level with the pavement outside & requires no lights, so all I do is get the ultimax out of the side of the van & load the amps & HD player / mixer onto it, wheel it into place, plug in everything & start.
