It is still a Beta version of IE, which is probably why you're having problems.

I prefer IE to Firefox, Angela is the other way round.

If IE were rubbish, nobody would use it.

IE accounts for at least 75% of all web browsers used word wide. If it was generally rubish why is nearly everyone using it!!! Firefox accounts for just under 20%, follwed by Safari at just under 6%

Is it getting to the stage where people have to add "in my opinion" to each of their posts? :p. I don't see his comment as ridiculous, it's just his opinion.

I think IE is generally rubbish too (in my opinion), not because of anything it lacks, but because it's a victim of it's own success. There are far too many security issues that arise constantly with IE, I'm forever hearing about new ways hackers can exploit it. As firefox is less commonly used, it's less prone to attacks (so I hear)...which is why it's my preference.

But that doesn't make IE generally rubbish does it?

I have 5 computers here and spend up to 16 hours a day on them and with the proper security and AV I have no problems.

It makes it generally rubbish to me (for the reasons stated). Like I said, it comes down to personal preference. 16 hours a day?...you really need to get out more. :d

Really? Then why does Beta no longer exist except in Television studios? And everyone uses VHS which is roundly considered the inferior format.

Just 'cause it's popular it doesn't mean that it's right ;)

VHS is considered inferior by people who work in the broadcast industry no doubt and not the people who bought it.

But the people who bought it (because of the superior marketing, no doubt), when there was a choice, wouldn't know that it was inferior would they? Of course it's a moot point, now, as the technology has moved well beyond that. Blu-Ray or HD? ;)
