Dmx settings for Acme Super Scimitar

Has anyone got a link for the above. I want to link 2 together and link them up as master and slave.

Not quite sure what your after? Isn't it just a male XLR to female XLR lead you need (i.e a microphone lead)?

No, and No! He needs the settings for the dip switches ( no idea, sorry ) and mic leads while having the correct plugs, can introduce problems partly due to their length. Dedicated DMX leads are preferable. ( Must take my tablets, it's beginning to look like I know what I'm talking about! ) The advice offered previously is gleaned from reading articles and attempting to understand some of the Black Arts of DMX!

A mic lead would be fine for linking the units and would be fine in a disco rig.. unless there was a large length of dmx cabling needed.



Hence why if you buy "dmx cable" it will often turn up in a packet marked Mic Cable.

OK I stand corrected, apologies Justin. :o :o ( Mind you I still stand by my point that mic cables are not designed for DMX, particularly in long runs. )

All off on the master and number ten on, on the slave will give you an inverted show.

What does the dipswitches have to be set to on the Slave? Sorry about the text talk...

It doesn't unless you wish to invert any of them. If you do, dip 10 on the ones you want inverted.

It's the same with super leos.

Yes, that's how I know that it's the same as the Leos.

Dipswitch 10 'ON' on the Slave and 'OFF' on the master - you'll get a decent show from this. I like my Scimitars and Leos together with one of each in 'Dipswitch 10 ON' and others off - looks superb.

You don't need to do anything with the dip switches for master slave mode. However if you want to invert some of the slaves, switch 10 on.
