i had a call from a nice lady from mastermix asking me a few questions and i thought hold on she is gonna try and sell me something. then she said could she take my address and she would send me the lastest copy of one of there cds.
its nice when you get calls like that

i think it might just be that so many djs are paying for music from the download sites that they might be loosing people so giving away a free cd might get people intrested i might be but some of those cds have a few good tracks and then some no hopers

no what i meant was i had quoted for a job via email last night and i came home from work to find an email from the client stating that they wish to go ahead with booking me and requested the booking forms and all appropirate paper work.

Know what you mean about some of them they are crazy, can hardly read some of them. Wierdest thing is i stay behind a police station so i am in front of a police car about 99% of the time i leave my house. Nothing has ever been said before.

You should try coming down my way. I'm chairman of the local council and the police report is hillarious. Number of crimes in the last month - 3 (one let-down tyre, a broken wing mirror and someone shoplifting (packet of polos if I remember)) Police seem to be very bored and the community police job is porbably the easiest on the planet.

You are so right....instead of messing about they should be catching real criminals. This was at 745am yesterday morning aswell. Maybe they had been on the night shift and were crabbit!!!! Yeah. They are the DN-D4500. There mainly for back-up as i would be taking cd's with me aswell. I get a lot of clients who like to bring along there own cd's so i can now mix then with ease.

Bet thats a relief. Lets hope it all works OK and following on from another thread are you going to PAT test all this new gear before you take it out or sensibly (in my view) rely upon the manufacturers' assurance that it is OK and use a circuit breaker as a back stop in case it isnt.

Yes. Sensible and not paranoid. Like I said today on another thread do you test the kettle in your home every year or not use your brand new TV until you have paid for an engineer to come and test it. If we pay good money for reputable brands of equipment that have CE marks we should expect them to be safe. When you buy a new car do you take it to a garage and have it MOT'd before you drive it even though it doesnt require an MOT test until it is 3 years old? People need to live in the real world. Take care but dont get ridiculous.

Rob... with the new 1.09 firmware for the d2 director, USB CD drives are supported (even MP3 disks).

Thought that might be an interesting nugget of money-saving information for you :D USB CD-roms are about £20ish

The testers vary depending on what you want them to do ours is all singing all dancing & cost around £1500 inc software & bits & bobs.
