Hi all,
As I am still bunged up with the dreaded 'Man Flu' (I'm lucky to be alive ladies ;) ), I have decided that rather than stay in bed, I may aswell get started on the HD for the Cortex I purchased.
  ...It is SOoooooo boring and giving me backache sitting at my laptop doing it. I purchased a 160gb passport drive and have used up 51gb of it so far and am ripping at 320kb with no duplicates. It's the tagging that is such a pain but I know after all of the groundwork that it will be much better.
I also took advice and purchased a mini keyboard yesterday to make searching for tracks easier.
One good thing about doing this is that I didn't realise I had so many CD's...I had so many duplicate tracks on compilations, and also..some stuff I never knew I had and it's been good hearing them again.
Anyway, I'm itching to use the thing but will wait until I have done everything I need to do and then I will let you know how I get on. Yesterday I was doing this for over 12 hours and so far today it has been since 08.30am. I have a long way to go but I'll get there.....excuse me...just sneezed allover my screen...eeuughh!
Cheers

Did you know about using itunes, audiograbber ect. These software auto tag your songs (if thay have been added to the database). Saves all that typing.
You may need a anti static wipe for that booger screen.
Let us know how you get on. :D:):D
