UK Disco

Had an email from the above on the 3rd March re an enquiry:) , so texted the number given, (ie paid my £1.50), for the enquiry details.
Logged on to my admin page on UK Disco site, no details:confused: . I have emailed the support email address twice and as yet have heard nothing:mad: .
Then they have the cheek to say upgrade to get a sniff at 5 other enquiries made in your area, I think not:bang: .
So I'm now £1.50 worse off, and the person who made the enquiry thinks I'm rude or don't need the business.
As I stated on the second email, to UK Disco, thats no way to run a business.
I'm not slagging them off, these are facts and I have proof from my mobile that I paid the £1.50 and copies of both the emails sent.

I have the same problem in a way. i upgraded my account to a silver thingy because it said i have 3 enquirys. So i paid for it and have had nothing from it at all.

You going to try and get your money back???

UK Disco are usually pretty quick to rectify any problems that arise (they have been with me anyway).

When I used the search facility it didn't register uk disco, unless you're being sarcastic, (surely not!!:rolleyes: ).

Not going to bother pursuing it, not wasting my time any further.Lets face it one enquiry in 12 months is hardly creating a business empire, and as for the £1.50, they can keep it if they're that hard up.
lesson learned as far as I'm concerned:p .
Just thought I'd be public spirited and state my experience. All comments should be valuable wether positive or negative:beer1: :beer1: .

Here's my take on it.

I think sites which charge you to text you "leads" which they also send to other suppliers completely suck.

In my opinion, they're a rip-off & I would never advertise on such sites.

Give me a site with a link to my website so customers can view my site & then contact me themselves through my contact page without me being charged ANYTIME!

Just depends - I had a little dabble on one of those sites and picked up a hotel residency for the princely investment of £1.50. So not all bad!

On my search engine experiences UK Disco seem to come out consistently in the Top Ten. I pay for a silver membership and used to get lots of third party enquiries whenever I logged on. I didnt think the text message service was worth it but even though I log on daily there have been no third party enquiries listed for some weeks now. Odd.

It would be good if they only allowed 3rd party enquiries if a phone number is provided. IMO people that insist on email only correspondence have something to hide. I will usually email them asking for a contact number, and unsuprisingly, I get little response.

I like to talk to all customers, even at the enquiry stage, as I feel it adds to the personal service.

I totally agree, Jamie. I also think that genuine enquirers like to talk to us direct as they can ask questions and then other questions generated by the answers. If people email me, I always send an automated reply saying that their query will be answered quicker if they send me a phone number or call me themselves. I know this sort of makes a mockery of the speed of email, but, like you Jamie, I too prefer the personal touch.

Stop the press! I logged on today (as usual) and there were 2 enquiries. One I was already booked and the other one sounded like a right bozo.
