My van, which was stupidly left loaded due to garage clearout, was broken into on Monday night & the following was stolen (serial numbers shown where available).

Really sorry to hear that. Is the van not alarmed or did you forget to put it on?

The alarm is tempremental to say the least. It was on, as was the central locking (wich oddly still works even without the barrel in the lock) just didn't go off.

One entire rig less lights & (most of) the stands.

I normally unload, but I needed to rearrange the garage so I left it on to save time.

Already watching eBay will check local CCs tomorrow.

One of the HD2500s will be even easier to identify as it hasn't been repaired since the Christmas Party incident.

It may come as little consolation but this gear is very much at the 'pro' end of the spectrum and I'm sure that at least some of it will come to the attention of your multitude of friends in the association/forum. Flippin' 'eck. I just logged in and saw the thread. What can anyone say. I honestly can't imagine how I'd react. I am so paranoid leaving gear in my truck over night even though I live way out in the middle of a field in the wilderness - I always grab my laptop, harddrives and CD box no matter what time of 'morning' I get home.
It's times like this we all realise just what scum there are and you never know where they are lurking. Problem a lot of us have is sign writing on vehicles so it is so obvious what could be inside.

Moral is if they want in they will get in.

I've just had the police on the phone to ask how I thought I'd been dealt with!

I finally gave them the serial numbers (2 weeks after the event! & only after I'd pointed out that nobody had bothered asking for any of them!). I expressed my disgust that nobody had been out to see if there were any finger prints, as I had told them that there was a fair chance of there being a good set due to the grime on the back doors.

During the course of our conversation I found out that there is a known theif in our area who specializes in breaking into vehicles (& is the prime suspect). However he has gone to ground as he is now wanted for something else.
