I have some tracks on my laptop wav protected which I want to convert to MP3 any advice on the best software to use ?
Yes I know I could burn and re rip but it's about 150 tracks.
Reason I'm finding if you jump from one format to another it can cause problems.

dbpoweramp is one of the best. It will batch convert from anything to anything. Used to be free, but you have to bay £10-£15 these days to get the MP3 codec.

I agree with the dBPowerAmp suggestion.
Got to pay for it now??
I'll look after my copy carefully now then!

Might be too much bother but if you re-rip the tracks you will have them as mp3 and also in your desired quality too.
If not have a search for the DBPowerAmp

They are all downloaded tracks so can't rip them unless I burn them first, downloaded DBPower Amp but it won't change protected tracks, so I guess I will have to burn & rip anyway.

How frustrating. What i do is use i tunes to make cd's into mp3 as it has an option to make ripped cd's into various formatts.
