Anyone else hacked off with the weather...?

Just got back - absolutely drenched (and so's the kit!) as it was tipping down at 12.45 and no way could I get the truck close to the door. Had a f...few nights like this recently and I'm fed up with the weather - I want a residency in Spain or Greece or Italy or the Canaries or anywhere where it doesn't rain and blow so much.

Rant over - time for a beer and bed. :beer1:

Same here - got soaked on the get in and drenched on the get out this evening. Then - you'll love this - was a small pub and we couldn't have an outside door open because the noise from the disco disturbed the nearby house - so everyone inside fried and couldn't breath. I ended up plugging a small fan in to blow some cool air on me so I didn't pass out.

Yep - my hens are hacked off with the weather because their dust bath is now a mud bath and they hate that :o

As for affecting gigs, we got really lucky last night. It drizzled on the journey there, then stopped just as we arrived. Then it hurled it down during the disco, and stopped again just as we finished! Then, to put the cherry on top, it started again as we were driving home!! Result :)

I use flightcases, speaker covers and everything else is in crates with lockable lids.

Well, we are waiting for a builder to fix our skylight which slipped in that wind. Until it's dry and calmer he can't get on the roof, so it's currently raining on the stairs. :bang:

Was working a hotel on the Prom last night. A bit windy on the get in, but really bad getting out at 1.30am this morning. It was blowing a gale from the sea and the rain was chucking it down. Got socked through.

Hate british weather, last night just makes me look forward even more to 8 weeks time when I will be soaking up the sun in the Maldives on my honeymoon.

Flightcases.

Although Steve is a sarky git, flightcases do the job. I know a lot of DJs carry stuff round in cardboard boxes (personal hate of mine), but cases will be weatherproof.
