Hi,
I'm not a DJ myself, but have been involved in music particularly for a long time. I've played in a lot of bands over the years, mainly for fun really.
I'm not playing live right now, but have a recording setup, and again this is primarily for my own personal enjoyment, although I do offer location recording / audio editing services as a spin-off from my hobby.
I've also been professionally involved in AV (Audio Visual) services for a long time, helping to organise business conferences, events and so on.
I run Rolent Entertainment, based in Oxford, and this grew out of my involvement with live music. I had been involved in working for some agents who didn't impress me much and who (in some cases) took really high percentage commissions. I just work on 15% commission, which I state openly to acts and clients alike. So far this has led to positive feedback from people I've worked with!
I'm active on some of the recording / pro audio forums, and am a moderator on one. I'm also specifically interested in guitar synthesisers and Roland VG technology.
Anyway, I'd like to find out more about the world of DJ'ing and even VJ'ing (as in video DJ'ing)!
