Largely on account of the fact that some of them seem to be.

Me, I couldn't care less. I post when I want & don't when I don't.

Some seem to think of a high post count as a badge of honour, in most cases it's a case of not shutting up or longevity on the site (or in some cases a combination of both :sj:)

You don't care sooooooooo much, that you feel the need to go in the admin panel and change it to 666 everytime you post anything.

Yep, that really says to me you don't care about your post count...

It's a statement. I truly don't care that I varied between top & second top post or whatever number was there. I just picked 666 as it kind of goes with my avatar. I could just as easy set it to 0. On some forums the amount of posts is seen as some sort of status symbol, I just see it as another form of willy waving

Which is it in YOUR case?

You could just write a small script, or modify the forum template, to display your post count at 666 regardless of your actual post count :)

Or change yours to: -

:rolleyes:I would've thought that much was obvious to somebody with nearly half my ammount of posts posted in around a third of the time.

Posts: Who Cares?I'd love to, but we don't modify the template (apparently makes it easier to hack), so I can't do that. Never mind, I've gone back to my original post count as it seems to be such an issue.
