Can anybody recommend any good DJ suppliers/shops in the West Yorkshire area - somewhere friendly, professional etc where they're able and happy to demonstrate different gear for you. So far I have mostly sourced stuff by mail order but would really like to strike up a relationship with a decent local shop...for local people;)

I have only dealt with Electromusic once, and received helpful, if perhaps slightly skewed advice, though they were happy to demo gear for me. The others I know nothing of. Hope this helps.

York based.

According to autoroute, it's a Unitary Authority, in County Durham.

Haven't a clue what Unitary Authority means but Hartlepool doesn't come under the boundries of Durham County Council. As for postal areas, it has a Teeside (TS) postcode the same as Middlesbrough.

Wait a moment, i've just found out that, for ceremonial reasons (Lord Lieutenants stuff and the like) it is part of County Durham. It's Unitary Authority (still don't know what it means, tho!) is Borough Of Hartlepool and it's in Cleveland.

Get's around a bit, doesn't it?

Then again, my home town of Houghton-le-Spring has a Durham (DH) post code cos we used to be in County Durham but it now comes under the remit of Sunderland City Council. Why do they change boundaries and make things confusing?

You think you've got problems! We were originally East Yorkshire, became Humberside, back to East Yorkshire, but our postcode comes up in searches as North Yorkshire, cos somebody can't be arsed to put it right!:bang: :bang:
