Noticed I've got a fair few "posher than normal" weddings coming up over the next few months mostly with early setups, and my trusty old giraffe deckstand is getting a little knocked about (despite being bagged) with the odd bit of rust on corners etc.. I'm sure I'm being extra picky but you know how we are... :rolleyes:
Anyway just ordered up a nice new Ultimax stand - the 1.7m standard one with the 3m powerlite bar and now looking forward to wiring it up and making rigging/derigging a bit easier on myself (as well as on the eye) :)
Any tips on using the powerlite anyone?
Plan is to use a single Bulgin to feed power IN (3 lines switched and one permanent) then have the IECs along the bar colour coded. Switched circuits will be for simple on/off devices such as lasers. I'll also be adding a series of DMX passthroughs such that I can use any mix of effects and either have a long DMX chain or individual loops for master/slave arrangements. Finally a couple of stereo jack loops for extending CA8s (I do still use these for a couple of effects eg. Impossibled).
