:Hi there: So be gentle !!
A bit of background carrying on from my intro in the Newbies section -
Current set up is home built PC running PCDJ Red 5.2 - 3 channel mixer [the name of which escapes me at the minute] Warrior KT1000 amp and a pair of non branded wooden cabs with 15" Fane 300w drivers [and a horn type tweetery thing-a-ma-jig] As this kit plus the lights have to fit in the car I need to streamlime a tad. To that end I already have a laptop ready to go and an Ultimax Micromax is on it's way to me as we "speak".
I have decided to go Active as this adds a touch of resilience in respect of an amp losing a channel or dying completely and it will help with the reduction in size of my "rig"
Now to get back on topic, and the onto the good bit....
I have been given a second hand set of active speakers  I was told they were the Eon15 G2s but as you can see from the tiltle they are the Eon10s - still a nice pressie though.
Problem is, they are obviously not man enough for a 100 to 150 person party in the local village hall (175 watts)
So my question is:
Do I keep the Eon10s and add an active sub (possibly the Eon15 G2 sub) or do I stick them on Ebay and go for the Eon15 G2s ?
I know I want to reduce size but if you think that two 10" tops and a sub will sound better than two 15s running full range I will make that sacrifice.
I already have a Behringer CX2310 active crossover (I used to have two passive Fane subs but they were huge and had to be scrapped)
My type of DJ'ing is mainly small to medium sized pubs and medium sized halls. General party stuff so thumping great bass is not necessary.
Over to you chaps and chapesses - What do you think ?
Thanks in advance and sorry about the long post for a relatively simple question !
