Hi all,

I just brought this amp (http://www.thomann.de/gb/tamp_ta1400_amplifier.htm).

On the back of it, it has two signs like this:

0---0 and 0-\-0 sort of thing.

I was wondering when i recieve my order what option do i select?

I'm only asking in case the instructions are in german :( and I will get a quicker reply on here :)

Not something i know about but i'm sure your instructions will come with an english version, If not drop thomann an email and they will send you the english ones out!

Its an earth lift switch. If you get any ground loop interference when you connect the amp, then you flip the earth lift switch to 0-\-0 to break the earth connection for the line in to try and stop it.

I've just bought a T.Amp and the instructions are in English.

Quitr right Tony, I couldn't understand from the first post, but the piccy on the link does it. :)

That's the amp Jaydee and I have, ( with a C-Mark badge) and we both rate it highly.

Try is the word because it doesn't always make any difference. It depends what is causing the hum. I had a Gemini Crossover that caused a hum but the ground lift switch didn't make any difference. Got a different crossover and the hum went away.
