I received an unsolicited enail from some Party Planning Company---who realise I work with DJs like yourselves and wondered what you make of some of these statements--
Ill answer the first one FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your enquiry for August 16 looking for a disco plus
facilities for a caller for the early part of the evening…
It is no problem at all for the caller to provide us with the tracks
they wish to use and we will provide all of the equipment. This will
mean that they can charge you less for their services too.

Because all Discos are different and not all are run legally, I wanted
to clarify what we would provide for you:
· Our 'Medium' disco show with 2,600 watts digital music power
· Award winning professional full-time DJ who is CRB cleared
(a legal requirement if any under 16s in attendance).
· 8 intelligent lighting effects·

Other important elements…
· We are insured and protected by a £10m public liability
insurance policy
· All DJs are CRB cleared. Without this, you cannot book a DJ
if you have under 16's at the party. DJ's know they need this but for
many reasons they don't which tends to ring alarm bells with most
people and the consequences of this don't bear thinking about.
· We are a UK registered Limited company, so you are dealing
with a professional organisation, rather than a part-time amateur DJ
· All equipment is fully PAT tested for electrical safety
· Once contracted, we can liaise with the venue and provide
them with all of the above, as they will need this prior to the event,
otherwise they are legally bound to refuse us admittance.
The cost for this high specification service for a 1am finish is just
£375 including all travel expenses
