First of all, I don't want to seem like I am just poaching information out of people but I am sure as fellow DJ's you have probably used your heads and asked another DJ for a little help at some point in your careers.

I am currently in the process of sorting out my business cards/posters/flyers and banner for the front of my setup.

Does anyone know any good places that can design and print these for? If so how much is the going rate?

Another i would love some input on is prices:

Would you say £150 for a party of up to 200 for up to 5 hours is a good shout or not??

Also if anyone fancies making me a flash banner for my website or have a go at putting some designs together for a logo it would be much appreciated.

I was thinking of either a disco ball or background image of some lighting?!

Many Thanks in advance.

James

Poaching information? You obviously haven't got to grips with the reason why we are here!! :p

We are here to share information and help with ideas.:)

Wrong attitude for here and this industry I'm afraid.

what i meant by that comment is certain people may not like to share info etc. Not me! team effort seems important in the industry as booking can be passed on etc. i wouldn't have joined a forum if i didn't want to help out as well as gain some info along the way!

I know what you meant and you have a bit of a naive way of looking at things I think. Read through some of the thousands of posts on here with people sharing ideas and information and you'll get the idea.

Try the online printers for low-cost, ie: vista-print etc., Decent job for decent rates. Do a search on google for 'dj cards' cos there's a few decent companies around. Depends what you want.

It's down to you, your area, your market, your experience to determine what YOU would charge. You will find DJs of every level and every price range on here and while a lot of us have a good idea of the value of our experience and the accepted pricing in our chosen markets, we would all have differeing opinions on prices you might work for.

Personally if I was doing a gig for 200 people for 5 hours it would be at least.... Ha ha... sorry bud, not telling you my prices. But I'll give you a clue - a lot more than £150 else my truck stays in the drive and I put my feet up!

Cheers.

Martin

Has no one mentioned vistaprint.com yet:rolleyes:

Any kind of of printing these are the people to go too. Very cheap and good quality products as well. And best of all design everything online with their step by step designer.

Take a look ere:

Hope this helps:)

Shaun (Elite DJ) is excellent and I can highly recommend him. He will give it that personal touch for you. :)

£150, far too cheap. Doubt you could dry hire the gear for that. Your choice though but know your worth, is all i'm saying

In your opinion. Let's not get into price wars on here please.

People can and will charge what they want depending on a lot of different factors.
