Interesting idea---
I know very little about this--but having built some of my own simple sites with the much maligned Frontpage I can say this---
Your not going to have a fully functioning website that you like within minutes--it will take quite a while even with templates, ready made facilities etc.
It might be ok for a personal social website for all your friends to look at your pictures--cant see it for a disco business without a lot of time being spent on it--
See what the experts say ;)

I bought my dad this for his Christmas the other year to sell his paintings. It's basic stuff but it does the job for him.

I use it for my website. It's great for beginners but does have it limitations.
I now code the website myself outside of the editor.
I can get it for you cheaper than retail. Let me know if you want to buy a copy and I will send you the link.
