A new trend?

Over the last few years I've had quite a few non-Scottish clients book me for their reception. All of them live outside of Scotland but want to experience a 'Scottish Flavour' at their reception.

Last year I had a couple from London travel to Scotland to wed, the year before I had a couple from Ireland fly all their guests over for a Scottish wedding. Next month I've got an American couple flying all their family and friends over to have their wedding in a Scottish castle.

This seems to be a new trend in the market. Any other Scottish DJs experiencing this?

Yes i have done a few\got a few bookings from clients mostly from down south coming up to Scotland for there wedding.Its always good fun talking them through the ceilidh dances.

At the same time they are getting a cheaper disco and not having to pay the full price of say what London djs would charge for a wedding!

This seems quite intresting. More work for you I guess, and if you are getting people from another country coming over, you can show them how to have a party. :D

Steve and I did one last week WITH SOME SERIOUS KILTS.

Load of Scottish people travelled down to Buckinghamshire and we gave them a Scottish Wedding with authentic Scottish Country Dancing to start with followed by Steves Disco---what more could you ask for???????????

I have also spoke in depth to my previous disco employer about this very subject - so much so that i am going to offer to turn up at said events in my kilt.

Just need to buy one now lol, rather than hiring
